Human rights defenders rely on data, from written records and legal documents to photos, audio and video. Gathering this data is important, but so is translating it into meaningful information that can be understood by those who have the power to make change.
In order to extract such insights, the data must be well organised. In other words, we need to design a data model that supports our goals. This short video introduces the basics of how to organise data for a human rights project.
