Module 1: Introduction to Documentation Theory

This practical manual is intended for documentation and information workers in the human rights sector, including those who engage with economic, social, and cultural rights (ESC).

The Introduction to Documentation Theory manual provides a foundation for documentation and information workers in the human rights sector, covering what documentation is, why it is important, how to conduct it effectively, and the main approaches to documentation.

The Introduction to Documentation Theory workbook serves as a practical guide for conceptualising human rights information. The focus is on enhancing data collection, processing, and analysis workflows to effectively monitor and advocate for human rights.

Module 1 is to be complemented with Module 2: Databases and Data Modelling Theory.
