African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) Digital Library

The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR) Digital Library is an online repository that brings together decades of African human rights documentation in one secure, searchable space.

The ACHPR Digital Library brings together decades of critical resources produced by the African Commission, including decisions, resolutions, reports, communications and legal instruments. Developed by the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR) with support from HURIDOCS and built on Uwazi, it makes this documentation open, accessible and easy to navigate in one searchable space.

The library is designed to serve researchers and academics seeking primary African human rights documentation, as well as legal practitioners, civil society organisations and national human rights institutions (NHRIs) in need of authoritative reference materials.

This is Phase 1 of the project: the first stage of an ongoing effort to make the Commission’s knowledge base more open and useful over the long term.
