HURIDOCS at the ‘Future of Speech Online’ event

Danna Ingleton, HURIDOCS’ Executive Director, was a featured speaker at “The Future of Speech Online” hosted by the Center for Democracy & Technology on 4 and 5 October 2023. In her presentation, Ingleton explored the vital role of artificial intelligence (AI) in advancing human rights documentation and the crucial work of human rights defenders around the globe.

During her talk, Ingleton highlighted HURIDOCS’ innovative use of AI, particularly machine learning, in efficiently processing and categorising vast amounts of human rights data. She also underscored the ever-growing volume of human rights documentation worldwide, emphasising the pivotal role of AI and machine learning in labelling, archiving, and identifying patterns within this data.
