We are pleased to announce the start of the second term of the project “Supporting the Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights of Disadvantaged Groups in Turkey through Monitoring and Advocacy Partnerships.” This project is executed in collaboration between HURIDOCS and the Association for Monitoring Equal Rights (AMER), and continues to receive support from the European Commission in Türkiye.
This next phase of the project aims to build on the success of the first term by providing further financial and technical support to local clusters of civil society organisations and human rights activists. These clusters must be dedicated to improving the access of disadvantaged groups to economic, social, and cultural rights (ESC) through focused monitoring and advocacy projects.
The project aims to encourage cooperation among civil society organisations in strengthening the access of disadvantaged groups to ESC rights in Türkiye and to increase the capacities of civil society organisations in data collection, storage, management methods, digital security and monitoring and advocacy activities.
Sub-grant recipients will benefit from financial support ranging from €7,500 to €10,000, enabling them to carry out projects over a period of nine to 11 months. Additionally, beneficiaries will receive specialised training from HURIDOCS and AMER to enhance their activities related to data management, digital security and advocacy.
As with the first term, the projects will prioritise the needs of disadvantaged groups, including women, LGBTIQA+ individuals, and refugees, ensuring their access to rights as defined by the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights.
If you are interested in applying, you can find detailed information about the application process and requirements here. Applications must be submitted by email to eskhaklar@esithaklar.org by 10 September 2024. You can learn more about the project’s first phase and its impact in our latest article.
